[Super Sol Construction Case] A1 Case Study of Maintenance Management of Buried Pipes

This is a case of bridge maintenance work (tentative name) for the Hiro Second Bridge and the left bank approach road in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture.

We would like to introduce a construction case study of the artificial lightweight material "Super Sol," made from crushed and sintered waste glass. To reduce differential settlement, the embankment was changed from soil to Super Sol. Super Sol was adopted to facilitate the maintenance of existing buried pipes (gas and water pipes) under the bridge approach road, allowing for repeated backfilling after excavation. 【Construction Case Study】 - Project Details: Bridge maintenance work (tentative name) Hiroshimaken Kure City Hiro Daini Ohashi, left bank approach road - Usage Category: Civil engineering / Lightweight embankment / Underground buried objects - Client: Kure City - Construction Location: Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture - Required Performance: Lightweight, strength, soil pressure reduction For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

[Super Sol Construction Case] A2 U-shaped retaining wall infill material case

This is a case of the improvement work on National Route 2 in the Monzen area of Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture.

We will introduce a construction example of the artificial lightweight material "Super Sol," which is made by crushing and sintering waste glass to create a foamed glass lightweight material, used as infill for U-shaped retaining walls. This is part of the improvement work on National Route 2. Super Sol, which can reduce weight, was used as the infill material for the U-shaped retaining wall. Lightweight materials were considered to reduce the load on the underground passage and waterway that cross beneath the national road. Initially, another material was planned for use, but due to concerns about dissolution from leaks of gasoline and other substances, Super Sol, an inorganic mineral material with low degradation from heat and oil, was adopted. 【Construction Example】 - Project Details: Improvement work in the Monzen area of National Route 2 - Application Category: Civil Engineering / Structural Backfill / Retaining Wall / Roadbed - Client: Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Kinki Regional Development Bureau - Construction Location: Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture - Required Performance: Lightweight, Load Reduction, Heat and Oil Resistance For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

[Super Sol Construction Case] A1 Case of Subgrade Replacement Work for Poor Drainage Road

This is a case of improvement paving work at the national supplementary road intersection in Ryugasaki City, Ibaraki Prefecture.

We would like to introduce a case study of the construction using the artificial lightweight material "Super Sol," which is made by crushing and sintering waste glass to create a foamed glass product, in the project of replacing the subgrade of a road with poor drainage. The site had poor drainage, and even after paving, water would seep up, causing repeated subsidence. In the construction of a new road, Super Sol, which is lightweight and has good drainage properties, was adopted for the subgrade replacement work. The thickness of the Super Sol application was approximately 1.7 meters. After the construction, no subsidence like before was observed, and it is now being used as a comfortable road. 【Construction Case Study】 - Project Details: National Subsidy Road Intersection Improvement Paving Work - Usage Classification: Civil Engineering / Lightweight Fill / Subgrade Replacement - Client: Ibaraki Prefecture - Construction Location: Ryugasaki City, Ibaraki Prefecture - Required Performance: Lightweight, Soil Pressure Reduction, Drainage For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
