[Super Sol Construction Case Study] Disaster Recovery Work - BOX Culvert Backfill Case Study

This is a case study of disaster recovery and ground improvement work on national disaster prevention roads.

We will introduce a case study of the construction of the artificial lightweight material "Super Sol," made from crushed and sintered waste glass, used in disaster recovery work and the backfilling of box culverts. This is related to the reconstruction efforts following the Great East Japan Earthquake. To reduce the load on the box culvert due to road pavement improvements, we aimed to lighten the backfill. 【Construction Case Study】 ○ Project Details: National Disaster No. 23-71-506-0-008 Road (North 5, North 8) Disaster recovery and ground improvement work ○ Use Category: Civil Engineering / Structural Protection / Existing Structures ○ Client: Ibaraki Prefecture ○ Construction Location: Naka District, Ibaraki Prefecture ○ Required Performance: Lightweight and load reduction For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

[Super Sol Construction Case] Example of Arch Culvert Protection

This is a case study of the road improvement work for the Nanyuan Fuchinen Line.

We would like to introduce a case study of the construction of "Super Sol," an artificial lightweight material made by crushing and sintering waste glass. This case study focuses on the protection of arch culverts. Super Sol was used as lightweight fill to reduce the load on the arch culverts and decrease the earth pressure on the reverse T-shaped retaining walls. The material allowed for flexibility in construction on complex terrains and contributed to shortening the construction period. 【Construction Case Study】 - Project Details: Improvement of the Nanbara Fuchinen Line Road - Application Category: Civil Engineering / Protection Structures Backfill / New Retaining Structures - Client: Okinawa Prefecture - Construction Location: Chinen Village, Okinawa Prefecture - Required Performance: Lightweight, Load Reduction, Earth Pressure Reduction For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

[Super Sol Construction Case] A1 Case of Subgrade Replacement Work for Poor Drainage Road

This is a case of improvement paving work at the national supplementary road intersection in Ryugasaki City, Ibaraki Prefecture.

We would like to introduce a case study of the construction using the artificial lightweight material "Super Sol," which is made by crushing and sintering waste glass to create a foamed glass product, in the project of replacing the subgrade of a road with poor drainage. The site had poor drainage, and even after paving, water would seep up, causing repeated subsidence. In the construction of a new road, Super Sol, which is lightweight and has good drainage properties, was adopted for the subgrade replacement work. The thickness of the Super Sol application was approximately 1.7 meters. After the construction, no subsidence like before was observed, and it is now being used as a comfortable road. 【Construction Case Study】 - Project Details: National Subsidy Road Intersection Improvement Paving Work - Usage Classification: Civil Engineering / Lightweight Fill / Subgrade Replacement - Client: Ibaraki Prefecture - Construction Location: Ryugasaki City, Ibaraki Prefecture - Required Performance: Lightweight, Soil Pressure Reduction, Drainage For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
